Founded in 2010 by managing director Ciaran Comerford, Obelisk is a team of specialist contractors, builders and tradesman. Focusing their efforts on London and the surrounding counties, the team at Obelisk have consistently grown and developed to become one of London’s pre-eminent builders. Obelisk was formally incorporated in 2010 after the volume of work for a small group of skilled workmen and professionals, who had known and worked with each other for years, began to grow significantly.

Demand for the specialist skillsets necessary for works on London’s heritage building stock was the driving force for the founding of Obelisk. Word of mouth referrals for the group had reached such a level that the team could no longer sustain undertaking the work on an informal basis, and thus Obelisk was born. Since its founding, Obelisk has worked on a long list of projects that encompass some of London’s most precious sites, and include works for the Dean of Southwark, on Southwark Cathedral and The Deanery on the Southbank as well the OXO Tower for Co-Op homes.
